King’s college researchers from London have found that there are six different types of Corona Virus Covid-19. The data was collected from 01 thousand participants from US, UK and Sweden who experienced the disease in the month of May. Every type has different type of symptoms. Moreover the team found that all these six types differed from each other in the severity and the need for respiratory support.
These findings have important implication in dealing with Covid-19 and it will help to reduce the risk of Covid-19. The study confirmed that there is a wide range of different symptoms which might include muscle pain, burnout, loss of appetite, stress, difficulty in breath etc. The six different types which were identified are following;
- Flu Like Covid-19 with No fever
- Flu Like Covi-19 with Fever
- Gastrointestinal
- Severe level 1 fatigue
- Severe level 2 fatigue
- Severe level 2 abdominal and respiratory
The basic symptoms included headache and loss of smell with varying combinations of other symptoms. The type 4, 5 and 6 symptoms tended to be older and more associated with overweight and diabetes than those with type 1, 2 and 3 type of covid-19. Experts suggest that the study will help in diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
